Legitimate Work At Home Jobs

We recently had a brush with identity theft. My husband was securing our youngest child in the car seat when he inadvertently placed his wallet on top of the minivan. We drove from New Jersey to Delaware before we realized he left it up there. (It probably flew off somewhere along the New Jersey Turnpike.)

Rather than searching a few hundred miles of highway for it, we decided we’d be better off just canceling his credit cards, replacing his driver’s license and everything else. (I assure you this was no easy task.) The whole episode was nerve-wracking. It felt like we were racing to get things canceled before his wallet “fell into the wrong hands.” We made dozens of phone calls, spent hours on hold listening to and selecting “menu options” and to top it all off, Big Dan lost a half day of work in the process.

Then during a routine shopping trip to Office Depot, I stumbled across a life-sized cardboard cutout of a Todd Davis, CEO of LifeLock. He was standing there holding up his actual social security card and number to illustrate how safe he is from identity theft due to their fraud protection services.

That got my attention.

The FTC has reported identity theft as the number one consumer complaint for eight consecutive years. This is no surprise because every three seconds, another identity is stolen. However, an ounce of prevention can be worth a pound of cure.

Particularly for children. In fact, children are the fastest growing segment of identity theft victims because criminals know it can be years before anyone realizes their identities have been misused.

There are several personal fraud protection services in existence to help protect your credit rating and keep your identity safe. But most only offer assistance after a criminal has already stolen your identity! We opted for the only identity theft prevention company that guaranteed to prevent it from happening.

We discovered that LifeLock:

  • Institutes fraud alerts that require lenders to call you immediately for approval before extending credit.
  • Has three credit reports sent to you each year,
  • Even removes your name from junk mail lists.
Members also receive quarterly updates when their fraud alerts are reset. Furthermore, they offer the following guarantee: "If your Identity is misused while you are a client, we’ll spend up to $1,000,000 to make it right." (Now that’s confidence…)

In our case, we were thankful my husband’s good name and credit were never compromised. But after our experience, we realized that bigger things are at stake here than one man’s lost wallet. We decided to put together a WorkingMom.com review article about identity theft, and we contacted them to ask if they would consider creating an exclusive LifeLock promotion code for WorkingMom.com readers.

As my old coach used to say, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Would you believe the folks at LifeLock agreed to give busy working moms a break? Yes, you’ve got a deal, a discount, a coupon a special promo code–tailor made for overworked, overstressed, minivan moms (and dads).

Now, at the official LifeLock Website, enter promotional code WORKINGMOM and you’ll receive a 10% discount AND a 30 day free trial!

So be safe, be frugal, and enjoy.

Sincerely,

Sabrina O'Malone
